National Ice Cream Day - A Cause for Celebration!
Did you know that we have President Reagan to thank for National Ice Cream Day? That’s right, he signed a resolution on July 9, 1984 proclaiming National Ice Cream Day would fall on the third Sunday of July. He knew, like all of us here at The Fountain on Locust, that Ice Cream is cause for celebration!
It’s Almost Time To Celebrate
This year, the third Sunday of July falls on the 16th. So mark your calendars and get excited to celebrate everyone’s favorite dessert! The Fountain on Locust is serving up all the classics, all day, just like always, but with a few—notable—exceptions.
This year we’re going BIG and debuting ONE NEW Ice Cream Martini and THREE NEW Fountain Collectables! TWO new T-shirts, FIVE new postcards, and TWO new mugs. Enjoy a build-your-own Stutz Sundae in one of our collectable mugs and we’ll rinse it out and send it home with you for $15. All new items feature designs you don’t want to miss, so be sure to get in before they sell out!
Fun fact: The average American eats four gallons of ice cream each year! That’s 20 lbs!
Allow Us To Set The Scene

The rest fades away in a hurried ice cream haze as you drift into a cooler, fuller, happier you.
